Behind the Numbers

The Conseil Etudiant de la Haute Ecole de la Province de Liège (HEPL) is a well-organized student union. It scores well in terms of both services and representation, and it excels in maintaining transparency, regularly informing students about policy changes and union activities.

The Union provides advice on university regulations through articles and calculators on the website – an innovative way of helping students. The Union is active on social media and organizes several extra-curricular events each year. Student packs are provided at the beginning of the academic year. The Union does not seem to mediate in conflicts between students and the college administration.

The Conseil Etudiant de la HEPL is a member of the Fédération des étudiant-e-s francophones (FEF). It provides an overview of its rules and regulations on its website. The union organizes successful advocacy campaigns, but it is not clear whether it has achieved any significant victories through its representation in university decision-making structures in recent years.
